The finished formation on the Oxford subdivision road - graded to level and ready for the kerb and channel team. This stage represents the handover point between the earthworks contractor and the civil works that follow: kerb, channel, drainage connections, and eventually seal coat.
Getting the formation right at this stage matters more than it might appear. If the grade is not precise, water will not sheet off correctly. If the sub-base is not compacted to spec, the road surface will fail prematurely under traffic load. TBT uses laser grading equipment on all formation work to achieve the accuracy civil engineers require.
